Documents required for title deed transfer in Turkey

Among the documents required when transferring a home deed in Turkey are the following:

1. Submitting the completion form and settling the municipal taxes and duties
2. Property document or letter of approval from the registrar with complete details such as address, area and location of the property with coordinates
3. Two new biometric photos of the buyer and seller
4. Compulsory earthquake insurance for villas, houses, apartments and offices
5. Passport with official translation into Turkish
6. Original and copy of power of attorney with official translation approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Justice of the issuing country
7. Presence of simultaneous translator (if the parties to the contract are not fluent in Istanbul Turkish)
8. Official translation of the buyer’s identity card or national card
